Romantic Bloedel Conservatory Wedding

A bloedel conservatory wedding is the perfect venue if you want to have a tropical wedding without travelling too far. Filled with over 500 tropical plants, exotic birds, and koi fish, having your wedding at the Bloedel Conservatory will transport you to another world entirely.

Eileen and Jeremy were all for an at-home destination wedding, so they chose to have their wedding at the conservatory. We met in the evening, just as the sun became low in the sky. We explored Queen Elizabeth Park, taking portraits among the garden with the golden sun streaming in.

When it was time for the ceremony, we gathered in the humid conservatory and admired the tropical atmosphere. Eileen walked down the aisle with her father and met Jeremy at the altar.

Their ceremony was one of the most beautiful I’ve witnessed. Both families coming from outside of Canada and not being native English speakers, the couple chose to recite their vows not only in English, but in the native language of the other partner. This produced many laughs from the guests, and also a few tears.

Sealing the deal with a kiss and signing the marriage papers, we snapped a few more portraits amongst the jungle. A reception in a private room in Seasons in the Park followed the ceremony up.

It was very important for Eileen and Jeremy to spend lots of time with their family and friends while everyone was together in the same place. They made sure to put an emphasis on socializing and interacting with everyone. This even included a kahoot game, full of trivia about the newly weds.
