Summer and Mitchell’s wedding at Sandpiper Resort in the Fraser Valley was easily one of my favourite weddings to photograph in 2025. From the start, we leaned into an editorial, timeless approach, using the resort’s beautiful architecture and clean lines to create effortlessly elegant portraits.
The day came with nonstop rain, but these two were incredibly flexible and fully trusted the process. Their ceremony was moved indoors, and all of their portraits were taken inside as well — which honestly made everything feel even more refined and classic. After the ceremony, the rain finally let up, giving us just enough time to sneak outside for a few portraits before the celebration continued.
The reception was filled with emotional speeches, meaningful dances, and plenty of happy tears, followed by an unforgettable dance party to end the night. Summer and Mitchell truly value their photos while still being fully present in every moment of their day, which is such a dream as a candid, documentary-style photographer with a love for timeless imagery.
I felt incredibly honoured to be part of their wedding day and to document such a beautiful celebration at Sandpiper Resort. If you’re searching for a candid, documentary, and timeless photographer in the Fraser Valley, I would love to chat with you!
