This Church and State Winery wedding is full of glam, elegance, and class. Being lowkey punks, the moody decor and overall vibe of Ashley and Kyle’s wedding exuded this.
We met Ashley at the tail end of her getting ready process, just in time for her to put her gold, custom made gown on. Leaving her and her girls to a champagne toast, we took some detail shots of the venue and Ashley’s accessories.
When the groom arrived, we headed into bridal party and family photos in front of the long, swooping rows of the winery. Guests began arriving, so the bride and groom hid until their grand entrance at the ceremony.
The ceremony was an emotional event, filled with beautiful vows, some laughs, and some very happy tears. The couple danced their way back down the aisle after their first kiss. Guests gathered around the couple to offer congratulations and take some more photos.
Eventually, the guests departed into cocktail hour, leaving Ashley and Kyle to portraits in the vineyard. After completely eating up the camera, we left the newly weds to mingling with their guests.
Some time later, a legal officiant made an appearance in order to have an official ceremony with the couple. Sneaking away from the guests, there was another private ceremony held on the balcony of the winery.
Almost right after the ceremony, it was time for a delicious dinner. Followed up by speeches and a first dance, the night ended with Ashley absolutely tearing up the dance floor and late night poutine snack. This wedding at Church and State Winery is a perfect example of breaking wedding tradition and planning the day your way.
