Working with Nicole and Ro was such a joy. There’s something really special about photographing people I’ve worked with before, and this in-home couples session felt extra meaningful. A few years ago, I had the chance to do a photoshoot with Nicole, and when she reached out again, I was so excited. She and Ro were celebrating their one-year anniversary and Ro’s birthday, and Nicole wanted to surprise Ro with a photoshoot to mark the occasion.
Since they were moving out of Nicole’s apartment soon, we decided on an in-home couples session in Vancouver, BC. It was the perfect way to commemorate their time together in that space before they started their next chapter. When I arrived, the vibes were already set—soft, chill music playing in the background, a cozy atmosphere, and two people completely in love. We spent some time chatting, getting to know each other better, and, of course, I had to hear the full story of how they met.
The session was effortless. We focused on sweet, intimate moments—lots of cuddles, soft kisses, and cozy interactions. Fairy lights added to the warm, romantic feel, making everything even more magical. I haven’t done a lot of in-home sessions, so this was a new and exciting experience for me. It felt different from my usual outdoor shoots, but in the best way possible.
When I started editing, I found it nearly impossible to narrow down the gallery. Every single photo captured something beautiful, and I wanted Nicole and Ro to have them all. In the end, I sent them a big collection of images that I absolutely love, and I hope they do too.
Nicole and Ro, thank you for trusting me with these memories. It was such an honour to document this moment for you, and I hope these photos bring you back to this special time in your lives whenever you look at them.
