It’s not every day all of your people gather in one place. A wedding is not only a time to celebrate and cherish your special love but also a time for all the people in your life to come together and show their support for this huge next step.
For Morgan and Kirsten, their wedding was the first and likely only time they would experience this, as Kirsten is originally from the UK. They chose to have a Camp Elphinstone wedding because of this factor. The camp allows weddings to rent out for the entire weekend, meaning their celebration lasted not just one day but three.
A lone guitar player fostered the mood of their outdoor, woodsy ceremony. Sitting at the back of the crowd, they plucked the strings of their guitar. Before long, the crowd hushed, and the bridal party made their way down the aisle, followed by both brides.
All smiles at the altar, Morgan and Kirsten recited their vows to one another in front of all their loved ones. It was hard to look away as they professed their love and sealed it with a kiss.
Family and friends gathered around the newlyweds for congratulations and photos. After some time, the guests trickled off to cocktail hour, where drinks and lawn games awaited them. We dove right into couples’ portraits as the last of them headed off.
Wanting to make the most of their limited time with loved ones, we cut portraits short and joined cocktail hour. The couple weaved through the crowd, making sure to chat with everyone in attendance.
At some point, the guests went inside, and the reception activities began. Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet, touching speeches, and a charcuterie cake in place of dessert. The night finished off with the couple’s first dance and a dance party that definitely had a few people sweating.
