Who says you need to somewhere crazy to have a stunning wedding? Agatha and Josh chose to stay at home (literally) with their cozy North Vancouver backyard elopement style wedding. All they wanted was to have good food, enjoy time with their friends and family, and to snag some golden hour shots of the two of them.
Agatha and Josh kept it simple, sweet, and elegant in their backyard elopement in North Vancouver. Walking into the house, I was instantly greeted by the sweetest family and friends. They made me so comfortable and ensured I had everything I needed.
Everything was ready to go for the wedding, all in theme with their boho style decor. Guests are arriving and mingling while I take some candids and familiarize myself with the place. Soon, it’s time to meet a dressed up and insanely gorgeous Agatha. We snap a few solo shots of Agatha and her pup just before her grandma walks her down the aisle.
Josh and Agatha have a short but sweet ceremony. They included some details that were true to them as a couple, including their dog as the ring bearer and doing rock, paper, scissors to determine who would say their vows first. They signed their papers to make it official, and their friends immediately surrounded them with love and joy.
We celebrate for a few minutes before deciding to head out to Cates Park for their portraits. The beach was stunning and we were blessed with a few moments of the sun peeking out for some golden hour-esque shots of the couple.
Josh and Agatha were so willing and happy to do every pose I suggested, and we were able to get some magazine cover worthy shots. We spent lots of time laughing, experimenting, and talking about tattoo removals.
We finished off the night by endulging in delicious Greek food and hanging out with guests. The perfect end to this special day.
