A Mount Douglas elopement is for couples in Victoria not looking to go far or hike up a mountain to get beautiful scenery. Take this mountaintop elopement as inspiration for your own intimate elopement!
This couple’s elopement is very unique in that their wedding date is a palindrome date. When 2/2/22 was approaching on the calendar, they decided to take advantage and plan their elopement on this day.
Their elopement was very intimate and simple, in which they included many personal touches to make it more personalized to their relationship. I met up with the couple and their friends at the top of the mountain. They were busy setting up everything needed for their day to go off without a hitch.
It was an incredibly cold and windy February afternoon for a Mount Douglas Elopement, and the couple bravely went sans jackets to show off their beautiful wedding attire. The officiant walked them through the ceremony and they completed a hand fasting ritual instead of exchanging rings.
Signing their papers with an ink pen, they sealed the deal with a kiss. We moved quickly into friends photos, and they even brought their cat to take a few pictures with!
Then, we spent a bit of time taking couples portraits, which included spraying champagne and sharing some snacks. This Mount Douglas Elopement is one for the books!
