This Black Rock Oceanfront Resort wedding epitomizes a relaxed, intimate, and personal elopement day. Many dream of getting married in the gorgeous seafront town of Ucluelet, and Amy and Kristian chose this special place for their big day.
We met in their hotel room, which featured a stunning view of the glistening ocean and rocky Big Beach below. When I arrived, they had already laid out their details for photographing. We spent some time getting to know each other, helping each other with their dresses, and preparing their dog for the ceremony by putting him in a bowtie.
They held their intimate ceremony in the wine cellar of Black Rock Resort, a space with moody vibes and a wall of windows that offered another ocean view framed by nearby rocks. Their ceremony was short and sweet, filled with smiles and laughs. After signing the papers and sharing their first kiss, they handed out champagne to their guests for a toast.
We mingled and enjoyed delicious appetizers provided by the resort before heading to Big Beach for some stunning portraits.
We began their portrait session with a private exchange of vows. Confessing your love in front of your closest family can feel intimidating, so Amy and Kristian chose to say their vows privately. After this incredibly sweet moment, we spent about an hour exploring the beach and forest areas, capturing beautiful portraits.
This Black Rock Oceanfront Resort wedding is one of my all time favourite elopements to this date, and if you want to plan your own Tofino wedding, my blog post all about eloping in Tofino is something worth your time!
