Whimsical Garden Party Wedding

This gorgeous garden party wedding in Vancouver, British Columbia, oozes class, luxury, and chic.

I met Maren and her sister at the hotel in the morning for getting ready and detail photos. Everything about the scene was so peaceful and relaxed, which is rare on the morning of a wedding day.

Once dressed, Maren heads to the venue to get ready for the first look with the groom. We snap some quick portraits after the first look, and Maren takes a few moments to admire the decor set up in the backyard.

Then, guests began arriving and occupied themselves with the multiple stations set up for them: build your own bouquet, a well-wishes tree, and vintage furniture scattered throughout the property. Soon, it was time for the ceremony, and Maren walked out looking absolutely stunning.

Adam and Maren had a Jewish ceremony, complete with a chuppah and smashing of the glass at the end. We quickly went off for some family photos and portraits.

Returning to the garden party wedding, we’re greeted with a full buffet. Dinner is followed by heartfelt speeches and many cheers. We snuck away for a few golden hour portraits and came back to the party in full swing.

Finally, Maren and Adam hit the dance floor and, in Jewish tradition, participate in a horah, where the couple is lifted up while sitting in chairs. This garden party wedding is perfect for gathering inspiration for your own backyard wedding.
